Enemy Tactics

The purpose of evil is to defy God and wear down believers until they are led into sin. This gives Satan pleasure and greater power over the earth. But God is a warrior. A battle rages in the spiritual realm, and as believers, we are right in the thick of it. God is always ready to fight on our behalf, always ready to come to our defence. In addition, he provides us with armour so that we can fight alongside him. If we want to join in God’s eternal victory, we must join him now in these battles.

Satan’s favorite delivery methods:

Half-truth:“God is loving… so obedience doesn’t matter.”
Misapplied truth:“Grace means victory isn’t expected.”
Delayed obedience:“Not now. Later.”
Identity theft:“This is who you are.”
Hopeless forecast: “You’ll always struggle.”


Counter:

The gospel is not only pardon — it is power (Romans 1:16; Romans 6:14).
