About the Manual
This book has an aggressive title because the war is aggressive. The Bible does not describe our conflict as a mild self-improvement project. It describes a battle for dominion — for rulership — over the human mind and life.
Yet the command center of this war is not a battlefield of flesh and blood. It is the inner throne of the heart (1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 2:4). That is why this manual uses the phrase “kill Satan” in strictly biblical terms: to end Satan’s dominion in the believer by refusing sin and yielding continually to God — until the enemy’s access is crushed underfoot.
Romans 16:20 promises, “The God of peace shall bruise [crush, conquer] Satan under your feet shortly.” Genesis 3:15 pictures the serpent’s head crushed. These are not calls to harm people or animals! They are promises that
Satan’s authority collapses where Christ’s authority is received and obeyed.
Satan’s kingdom lives and thrives on deception, temptation, and consent. When consent is withdrawn and Christ reigns by the Holy Spirit, Satan “dies” in that life — his rule ends.
This manual is written in a tactical voice because the enemy is tactical. Scripture teaches that Satan studies the human mind, works in deception, and seeks to occupy the “temple” of human life. But it also teaches that the tempter cannot compel the will. The will must consent before Satan can exercise power. That one fact changes everything: you are not helpless. You can submit to God, resist the devil, and enforce new dominion in Christ.
The burden of this book is not fear. It is confidence — confidence in the gospel as the power of God. Not only to forgive, but to deliver. Not only to cover sin, but to break sin’s dominion. Not only to promise holiness someday, but to reproduce Christ’s character in those who yield to the indwelling Spirit.
